Water Damage Causes Mold

It only takes a small water leak, or even excess humidity, for mold to form in your home or business. Then, mold can spread quickly through the property in as little as 48 hours. Mold can produce allergens and irritants, and it has the potential to cause other health effects.

This homeowner said there was a musty odor and she couldn't tell where it was coming from. We noticed her flooring had previous water damage and was told she placed fans and thought it was all dry. Upon further inspection allowed by the customer we found that under the top layer of flooring was actually a pad that had soaked up all the water like a sponge. The pad was installed over a vinyl floor which also helped trap the water.

We completed the remediation with the help of a mold assessment consultant as required by the state of Texas due to the amount. The customer was not only surprised by the amount of flooring types but also the amount of water that had been trapped and spread throughout her kitchen. We were happy to explain our process to her and provide service that exceeded her expectations!
